digital telephoto, pop-up 5-mode variable flash, and a
resolution of 1.3 million megapixels, it's packed with all the
features you need to make sure you'll always get the shot you
want. And with the D-450's new, brighter and easier to view
LCD screen, you can see your pictures as soon as you take
themeven in bright light or from an angle. The LCD also
displays pictures in a 4, 9 or 16 image index or allows
magnification up to 3x, for inspecting all the details.

Flash System
The D-450 Zooms flash system features five versatile flash
modes that make it easy for anyone to take great
photographs:
Auto Flash fires automatically in low light or back-light,
to help ensure the illumination is appropriate
Red-Eye Reduction Flash Mode emits a series of
pre-flashes right before the shutter snaps, allowing the
subject's eyes to adjust to the light level of the
flashreducing the red-eye effect
Slow Synchro Flash Mode for shots requiring long
exposure
Fill-In Flash Mode softens the sharp contrasts, for a
more natural look in photos when your subject is in both
bright light and dark shadow
Flash Off Mode is available when flash photography is
not permitted or to allow for up to ½ second exposures,
for shots like sunsets and night scenes

SmartMedia Cards
Having extra reusable, removable SmartMedia cards on hand
means you'll never miss a shot. The D-450 Zoom comes
equipped with an 8MB SmartMedia card, but can also use 8, 16
and 32 MB cards.
PCMIA MA2 adapter for SmartMedia
Download images from any Olympus SmartMedia digital camera
with the MA2 PCMCIA adapter. Works in both Macintosh and
Windows 95/98 PC card slots, providing download speed up to
300 times faster than serial.
FlashPath Floppy Disk Adapter
Download images from any Olympus digital camera with the
FlashPath floppy disk adapter. Like a diskette but with no
moving parts, it holds a 2, 4, 8, 16, or 32 MB SmartMedia card
and slips into a floppy disk drive on any Windows 95/98, NT
4.0 and Power Macintosh-compatible PC.
Quick Charger
Get extended battery life with an Olympus quick charger that
comes packaged with four NiMH AA rechargeable batteries
(which you can also purchase separately for additional
batteries).
AC Adapter
Use our 110V/120V AC Adapter or our 220V AC Adapter to
conserve batteries when downloading to your computer,
printing or viewing images while connected to your TV or VCR.
Software
The D-450 Zoom comes with Adobe PhotoDeluxe image
manipulation and creation software, Enroute QuickStitch
panorama stitching software, Olympus Camedia Master
software (for downloading images from the camera), and
instruction manuals. All software supports both Windows
(95/98/NT 4.0) and Macintosh (OS 7.6.x and greater) systems,
and is year 2000-compliant.
Using the imaging software that comes standard with the
D-450 Zoom, you can:
