Spearheaded development of new department to offer complete NT networking services,
LAN/WAN domain planning, Internet connectivity and security engineering.
Managed a staff of 7, including 5 field engineers, a manager and a support person.
IBS transformed virtually its entire installed base of over 100 clients with over 250
sites into firms with state-of-the-art Corporate IT infrastructures during my tenure.
Worked extensively with the Sales group and my own staff to train them on the skills
needed to bring these offerings to market.
Developed significant portion of our business entirely outside the Property Management
sector.

Truly more a Systems Administrator, reported directly to the President.
Designed and implemented a 7-server NT network with 125 nodes , 12 printers and 2 WAN
links, WINS, DHCP and TCP/IP.
Created a remote access system to the LAN, eventually switching to an NT-based RAS
solution with integrated SAPS modem sharing for outbound data and fax.
Built SQL Servers and took responsibility as SQL Server Systems Administrator for
Client/Server development team.
Abandoned MSMail in favor of MS Exchange Server with Internet Mail Connector.
Implemented major upgrade to network infrastructure using 3Com switching, 100BaseTX hubs
and 100BaseTX NICs.
Designed, deployed and continue to maintain our corporate web site using Microsoft
Internet Information Server 3.0, Front Page and Javascript.
Set corporate standards for hardware, software and usage procedures, including logon
scripts, user directories, public directories and shared, secure workgroup file areas.

Designed and built 4 Novell Netware 3.12 networks and redesigned two more.
Client: Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries
- Redesigned and reinstalled Netware 3.12 on multiple servers at multiple sites.
- Created entire usage scheme, including logon scripts, printer shares, drive mappings,
user privileges.
- Implemented Enterprise-wide cc:Mail messaging system.
- Trained their in-house IS staff.
Primary consultant and developer for Associated Grantmakers of Massachusetts for the AGM
Online project.
- Built a multi-server Macintosh network.
- Created remote access system to facilitate a Large client/server database of grantmaking
organizations (which I converted from VMS legacy system), A complete online bibliography
of the AGM library, and a complete email and conferencing system.
This project required me write extensive SQL procedures and use rapid application
development tools.
Developed the strategic plan and deployment schedule for the Municipal Network for the
town of Sudbury, MA., which had a budget of $160k.
In-house resource for all internal IS needs, including web site and internet email plan.
